Jacqueline Cain

Jacqueline Cain is a writer and editor in Boston. “My journalism experience and a serious love of bars led me to pursue food writing, and I have covered the local dining scene since 2015,” she says. Jackie joined The Food Lens as an editor in 2021 to help launch the cookbook, Dining In Boston, and she edits our guides and features. Additionally, she contributes to Edible Boston, Apartment Therapy, Boston Magazine, and other outlets.

Jackie previously worked at Boston Magazine as deputy food editor and was the associate editor of Eater Boston; she has also been a taproom bartender, restaurant manager, and a rural newspaper reporter. She currently lives in Jamaica Plain, following spells in Burlington, Vt.; Somerville; and her hometown of Berlin, Mass. Jackie is a beer person, a Celtics fan, and she loves seeing live music.

Fun Fact

Jackie was named the Rookie Reporter of the Year 2012 by the Vermont Press Association.
