The first thing you’ll notice about The Dorrance is the jaw-dropping Gilded Age-era bank building it’s housed in. The second thing you’ll notice is the lengthy bar at the center of the restaurant. Many of the city’s best bartenders have worked here, leaving behind cocktail creations—like the refreshing Up & Cumber, with cucumber vodka, lime, and ginger beer, or the appropriately smoky Kentucky Campfire, with whiskey, cinnamon, and citrus—that thankfully never leave the menu.
