Courtland Club

The social club, reimagined.

By Jenna Pelletier

When real estate developer Jason Shechtman bought the quirky old building that’s now home to Courtland Club, it had been vacant for years. But he had big plans for it. Inspired by its history as a men’s social club in the ‘40s and ‘50s, he created a bar that’s open to everyone, but has special perks like bottle lockers and customized sourcing for members. Cocktails are thoughtfully developed, and often interactive. The Lupini Martini, for example, comes with a side of lupini beans for snacking, and the Vermouth Service is set up so you can build your own drink.
