Riffraff

Literature and libations.

By Jenna Pelletier

One part indie bookstore, one part bar, Riffraff offers well-curated selections in both realms; pair a Rhode Island brew with Camus, or a mezcal cocktail with the latest from an emerging local author. Owners Tom Roberge and Emma Ramadan (he has a background in publishing; she’s a translator) also offer a “Book Happy Hour” with discounted reads every Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. If you’re not familiar with the area, the space, located in a former mill, can be a little tricky to find—but don’t let that deter you from this nerdy nightlife option.
