The Eddy

Superior cocktails sans snobbery.

By Jenna Pelletier

In keeping with The Eddy’s rather minimalist atmosphere, we’ll get right to it: This is a damn good bar. Tucked away on a side street downtown, the dark, intimate brick-walled hangout has been favored among local cocktail snobs since it opened in 2013. Try a sophisticated drink like the Barrel Aged El Presidente with vermouth and Privateer rum, or keep it casual with a Miller High Life Pony. We’re also fans of the main piece of art in the room: a massive plane painting that fills the back wall.

You can get surprisingly great snacks here, like oysters from Rhode Island producer Walrus and Carpenter served with lemon and yuzu mignonette.
