There’s never a dull moment at Aeronaut. Whether you’re watching a live brass band, playing a Super Nintendo game projected onto the wall, or listening to a science lecture, this sprawling Somerville destination has got something for everyone. The same principle applies to the brews; a shifting rotation of a dozen or so taps yields just enough variation, while reliable staples like A Year With Dr. Nandu (their flagship IPA brewed with ultra-fruity Mosaic and floral Centennial hops) always hit the spot.

Aeronaut’s the perfect place to set up shop at a picnic table with a crowd and order delivery or slice into a birthday cake. But be warned: Due to the building’s strict capacity codes, there’s often a line. Once you get inside, though, there’s always space. If the front is crowded, head to the back room and enjoy your beers amidst the wafting aroma of chocolate from Gâte Comme des Filles—then hop over to Tasting Counter for a late-night snack and some natural wine.
