Hometown Cafe and Poké Bar

Go for a poke bowl, stay for a matcha latte.

By Jenna Pelletier

Sick of their corporate jobs, best friends Rebecca Brady and Tiffany Ting decided to bring poke to Rhode Island. With coaching from a local culinary incubator, they began by serving their version of the raw fish dish—pristine, flash-marinated tuna and salmon, fun mix-ins, and several different sauce options—in a mobile cart. Recently, their success brought staying power in the form of a new brick-and-mortar storefront. The extra kitchen space has allowed the duo to spread their wings with added breakfast and cafe items, including topped toasts, acai bowls, and matcha lattes, that are just as craveable as the poke bowls.
