Tallulah’s Taqueria

When you have an itch only tacos can scratch.

By Bethany Graber

A proper taco is not to be taken for granted. So to find one tucked amongst the triple-decker houses of the Fox Point neighborhood is truly a gift. Tallulah’s Texas-raised owner has brought dedication and finesse to this tiny haven, and there’s so much more here than just tacos. An array of proteins like carnitas and barbacoa are ready to adorn the dish of your choice, be it taco, torta, or burrito; the homemade salsas and guacamole are the final, essential flourish. Wash it all down with a Jarritos soda, a cerveza, or a margarita, then chase it with a churro as you walk away planning your next visit.

See for yourself how much more there is to Tallulah’s than tacos by nabbing tickets to a Mesa Ocho dinner: chef Jake Rojas’ periodic tasting menu meals, served at the restaurant’s eight-seat table.
