TFL copyeditor Shelby Hill has written and edited for newspapers, magazines, and blogs. “If it’s content, you name it and I have experience with it,” she says. After years of wrangling business, entertainment, and marketing content, Shelby is excited to now be delving into food, a growing interest thanks to her foodie husband. “I benefit from his research,” she says. “I love that food brought us together—so many of our first dates were over his must-try restaurants.”
The Arizona transplant may be missing her favorite food: the tacos of home (“the greasier, the less bougie, the better,” she says). But since moving to Brookline several years ago, Shelby has found solace in seafood, discovering a hidden love for lobster rolls and oysters. Island Creek Oyster Bar is her go-to for special occasions. “I’ve had so many memorable experiences there,” she says. “The food is always on point, but their amazing service brings me back.”
Shelby hates bananas and hasn’t had one in nearly two decades—not even in a smoothie.
