Wine 101: Wine Tasting and Pairing Workshop

For many, the wine aisle is one of the most overwhelming aisles in the grocery store. Yes, you may have watched the documentary “Somm” but that only made the aisle more daunting. That’s what this class hopes to help with. Local Chef Jen Murray will be bringing her well-known wine experience to The KITCHEN at The Boston Public Market this season. With Chef Jen, you’ll be learning about different grape varietals while uncovering the secrets to food and wine pairing. This class will be hands-on so while you try six different wines, you’ll also be tasting local snacks from Boston Public Market farmers and artisans. A sample menu includes a California Syrah paired with thinly sliced pork tenderloin from Chestnut Farms and a New Zealand White Wine paired with a Goat Cheese Crostini from Appleton Farms. Tickets $48-$60 (The Trustee of Reservations Members get a discount)
