The Spice Kitchen: An Introduction to the Art of Cooking with Spices
There’s so much more to spices than the spices aisle at your local grocery store. That’s what this class hopes to teach you. In this cooking class, you’ll learn everything you need to know about spices: why, how, and when to toast them, why some recipes used ground spices whereas others use whole spices, and how to buy and store them. You’ll even create your own spice blend with the techniques you’ve learned. This class is hands-on and you’ll be tasting food as you cook it. Recipes included in the class: Spiced Pork Tenderloin Bites, Turkish Red Lentil Soup, Crispy Chickpeas, Tahini-Roasted Cauliflower with Dukkah, and Chocolate Spice Cookies. Tickets $175.
