Milk Street Session: Turkish & Ottoman Cuisine
Do you also love Sarma, Oleana, and Sofra but want to learn how to make food like that at home? Now is your chance. In this demonstration class led by Ana Sortun (of Oleana, Sofra, and Sarma), Banu Özden (a culinary tour leader in Istanbul) and Feyza Bayrakcioglu-Özden (Sofra pastry chef), you will learn about the essentials ingredients in Turkish cuisine and learn some recipes to make at home including cheese spread with walnuts and chiles and red cabbage salad with yogurt. This event does not include a full meal so make dinner plans nearby afterward! Tickets: $50.
