“Fetch” never became a thing, but thanks to The Gallows, Gretchen Wieners does have her own namesake cocktail.

This Mean Girls-inspired libation features just three ingredients: a house-made lavender-infused vodka, lime juice, and agave syrup.

Stephanie Maness, bar product manager for the friendly South End gastropub, uses Amazon to source dried lavender flowers—but she also says they can be found in most tea shops.

Considering the cult status of the film that served as inspiration, it’s little surprise the drink is a hit. “A lot of people order it because of the name,” says Maness.

But the refreshing, easy-drinking cocktail is bound to please those the reference might be lost on, too, with its hearty hit of lavender nicely balanced by the brightness of lime and agave.

Gretchen Wieners
2 ounces lavender-infused vodka*

1 ounce lime juice
¾ ounce agave syrup

Combine ingredients in shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled and pour into  double rocks glass.

*Lavender-Infused Vodka (makes 1 liter)
2 teaspoons dried lavender flowers

1 liter of vodka

Toast lavender flowers in saucepan over medium heat, about two minutes. Turn burner off, and allow pan to cool for ten minutes to avoid burning off the alcohol. Add vodka to pan and let mixture sit for two minutes before straining out lavender flowers with double strainer. Mixture will keep for one year.
