¡Duino! (Duende)

From poutine to pupusas, international street food reigns at this eccentric restaurant.

Wedged in the middle of artsy coffeehouse Radio Bean and cocktail lounge Light Club Lamp Shop, ¡Duino! (Duende) completes a trifecta of spots—all helmed by the same owner—squeezed into a quirky corner of downtown Burlington. It would be easy to pass the greater part of a day on this street, alternating between Radio Bean and the Light Club’s live music acts, lounging at the sidewalk tables, and satisfying munchies at ¡Duino! (Duende) in between.

The concept here is international street food, and the menu has something for everyone: from a colorful, farm-fresh Meze Platter, to indulgent Duino Poutine, to customizable Pupusas. Strictly a dinner spot on weeknights, ¡Duino! (Duende) also serves a great brunch on weekends (if you need a shakshuka fix on your trip, this is your spot

Top-notch poultry from Vermont’s Misty Knoll Farms is fried to a crisp and served over a buttermilk Belgian waffle with honey butter.

Since the three businesses are connected, you can usually ask to order from ¡Duino!(Duende)’s menu while sitting in Radio Bean or the Light Club. The exception is on weekend nights, when the kitchen is busy and menus are a bit more limited.
