Cold-pressed juice and smoothies from the city's top juicers are good and good for you. Healthful but also crave-worthy, fresh fruit (and vegetable!) juices can help boost immunity and also satisfy when you're seeking something sweet. Check out these colorful juice bars around Boston when you're thirsty for something delicious.

Juice from Mother Juice - Best Juice Bars in Boston

Boston’s first juice bar on wheels, Mother Juice, is now a mini-chain with outposts in Kendall Square, Newbury Street, and the Boston Public Market, plus a local delivery fleet. Cold-pressed concoctions with cheeky names like Kale Yeah, C++ (carrot, pineapple, orange, ginger), and OMG (watermelon, pineapple and lemon) are bottled, and the menu provides an all-day selection of smoothies, breakfast bowls, toasts, and salads. Moju also curates juice cleanses, smoothie kits, and snack packs for scheduled at-home delivery.

Exterior of Cocobeet

The original Cocobeet is situated within sight of the Government Center T stop, yet it’s easy to miss: Seek out the small storefront to be rewarded with a selection of more than 30 cold-pressed juices and superfood smoothies, alongside a wide selection of vegan meals. Everything is freshly made but bottled or packaged for instant takeaway, making Cocobeet a godsend for those with health on the mind but little time on the clock. It also has a suburban location in Wellesley. Juice cleanses can be delivered within Boston and Cambridge.

The first location of Jugos is a closet-sized oasis of freshness for commuters venturing through the fast food-dominated landscape around Back Bay Station. A few blocks south, the larger Jugos Supremo doubles down on the tropical vibes in a sun-dappled space. The Latin-inspired menu at both places offers “Jugos” (juices) and “Batidos” (smoothies), plus sweet and savory fare including breakfast served todo el dia and superfood sandwiches to satisfy the omnivores among us, such as mojo pork with sweet potato. When you also need a little caffeine to get going, there’s cafecito and matcha here, too.

Vegan restaurant chain Life Alive Organic Café is a purveyor of wholesome, organic food with outposts in Back Bay, Brookline, Cambridge, Lowell, and Salem. (Look for more Life to come in 2022 with new locations on the way to the South End and Harvard Square.) The colorful, art-filled interiors are fittingly crunchy, and menus cover everything from street corn to smoothies. Fresh juices include a honey-sweetened Morning Moxie and a cilantro- and jalapeño-spiked Spicy Green Tonic.

A prominent corner on Jamaica Plain’s South Street, Juicygreens beckons with its mint-green storefront and pocket-sized patio oasis. In store, you’ll find a colorful collection of plant-based food and beverages. For made-to-order smoothies, we love the Cuban Mojito, blended with spinach, mango, spirulina, mint, lemon, and coconut milk; and the Chaga-Espresso Smoothie, which highlights the in-house coffee program in health-food form with espresso, cacao, peanut butter, banana, dates, oats, water, and chaga, an immunity-boosting mushroom. The physician-founded, family-owned juice shop is expanding with new locations at Hub Hall, now open, and Assembly Row coming soon.
