Galley Beach

Head here for cozy cabanas and stunning sunsets

By Catherine Smart

What started as a Cliffside Beach clam shack in 1958 (and is still owned by the founding Silva family) is now arguably one of the most elegant spots to spend an afternoon—or morning or evening—on the whole island. Sure, Galley Beach is a prime spot for weddings and other private events, but you can easily soak in some of the relaxed coastal luxury simply sipping rosé in one of the beachside cabanas. When you want to get away from the bustle of town—and maybe pretend you’re on the Amalfi Coast—break out your finest resort wear and head to Galley Beach.
